Fields of interest:
Synaptic physiology. I'm interested to understand the mechanisms of neurotransmitter release and re-uptake and their role in the synaptic function and dysfunction.
Non-linear brain dynamics. My interest concerns the application of non-linear dynamics concepts to brain physiology in order to identify general laws of brain functioning.
Neurobiology of consciousness and sleep. I'm interested to understand how consciousness arises from brain activity and what are the conditions that carry us to sleep.
